Yes, you can do all that and more on the Western Wonder Experience AirCruise. I bet you'll love it!
One word. Audiobooks. We load up their ipods with them because they're much more engaging than dvds. There are lots of sites where you can get them, but we use this site a lot because the short stories are original and free. Here's the link if anyone is interested. http://www.twirlygirlshop.com/short-stories-for-kids

Santa Barbara is above and beyond scenic so I must admit I love the name of your blog! There is a lot for kids to do in SB and as a child that grew up there, it is a great place to be when young. Beaches are always entertaining, the wharf, biking the blvd and the zoo of course! A picnic in the park and a game of soccer or football is always nice on a sunny day as well. Though my family moved away many years ago it doesn't stop me from traveling there with my own family that has smaller children. They love it as much as I did! We especially love the Natural History Museum, lots of fun things for kids there as well! We stay at the South Coast Inn (www.goleta-hotel.com). Close to my oldest child's school at UCSB and the beaches as well as some exceptional restaurants!

Santa Barbara is one of the most perfect cities to travel to when you have a family, especially small children with you. A ton of things to keep them entertained for hours and you won't be bored either! The Zoo is a lot of fun and the Mission is well worth visiting. The beaches are all a great place to spend the day if the weather allows it. Great food downtown and shopping is a good choice too. You can rent bikes and view the city the old fashion way or bike the boulevard along the beach which has fantastic views! My kids loved coming here when they were younger. We always stayed at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). Close to shopping and restaurants and so affordable!

These are some great idea's. When I was a kid, Mom used to read to us on long drives to Grandma's house. We usually fell asleep, but it kept us occupied.

We cruised there in July and in August and it was cool most of the time. We never swam in the pools, but did enjoy the hot tubs. The temps averaged in the mid 60's with the exception of Helsinki where it was much colder. I highly recommend this cruise!

Thank you for including Mom Maps in this list! You just made my day. Its a good list - I use many of these apps when I'm on the road.

One other app that I'd recommend - a great companion to Mom Maps - is SitOrSquat - which helps you find a bathroom before any accidents happen!
